Unfortunately this store has continued to disappoint.
The new location is great which makes for a convenient decision to rent a car from Enterprise.
I've been a member for 4 years and have to say that I appreciate the professional service I've received. The San Marcos location has bye far the most accommodating and friendly staff.
I do have to say that the staff was very friendly and curtious.
I booked my rental online and everything went well. I received a confirmation phone call the day before my reservation, which I thought was unusual, but thought they must be very booked because it was a holiday weekend. Everything went smoothly when I picked up the car so I was happy about that. I have a serious concern on how they handled the deposit hold after I returned the car. The deposit was not backed off my card for a full 5 days after the charge had already been paid in full at the desk at drop off. The deposit/plus rental charge, even after the final payment at drop off posted after 24 hrs, was pending on my credit card all week and I couldn't use my card because it put me into a $0 available credit. I called them at local site after 3rd day and manager assured me it would drop off after 24-48 hrs, even though the payment for rental had already posted the first day. So I patiently waited and kept checking my balance. Finally the 5th day I called my credit card company, explained to them. They thought it was suspicious that there was still a pending charge that enterprise hadn't released. So they backed out the pending charge. It took less then 24 hrs. So I'm not sure what kind of an accounting error or game? the rental office was up to. If I had not been watching my account balance I would have been charged twice. Makes me reluctant to want to use this location again even though it's a convenient because I visit this area often. So I probably will not return to this location.
The last experience was with Brandon who seemed to be more interested in being right and less about being empathetic. I secured a full size car for 12pm and showed up at 1130am (with my wife and 2 year old son) in which he told me that there were no cars available at all and that they were really forecasting closer to 12. Again, no thought of upgrading or even knowing that I was a Silver Member. I left and told him that I might consider coming back in 30 min but that there better be a car. After leaving for 5 min Brandon called to tell me that he could upgrade into a minivan...........really? I would appreciate a little more thought in taking care of their customers and being a bit more prepared with inventory especially when they moved to this location with more space vs. the old strip mall. Honestly not sure I will be back!
Outstanding customer service! What more could you ask for from a car rental place? Oh yeah, the cars are clean and plentiful. Brandon is an excellent branch manager.
Great experience rented a compact car 3 weekends in a row. The weekend special rate is hard to beat. Friendly service and quick in and out.
My last two experiences had been disappointing in that the store didn't have a full size available for me as requested and continued to tell me to wait until they could call another location. After a 20 minute wait and seeing that I was in a rush someone came out to tell the service manager to just upgrade into the next category. Seriously....why can't they make that observation immediately since they are the ones falling short on their promise.
