I was floored when I got a sympathy card with a little note from all of the staff. It was so amazing and really touched my family.
My dog kipper had to be put down unexpectedly. They are not our regular vet and it was late on a sat night. They told us to come right away and treated us so gently. First of all, they lit a candle to let everyone know that there was a pet being put down. They were all so caring. There was a very nice little room where we could take as much time both before and after. I got through it with all the TLC.
VSH has been so wonderful to us as we work our way through the last few weeks of our beloved rottie mix, Cleo’s life. Dr. Ganz has been incredible! He has returned our calls, answered any and all questions, and given sage advice. Dr. Ganz is the kind of veterinarian every pet owner hopes for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
They helped me and my family put down our beloved family dog who unexpectedly became ill with an aggressive cancer. The entire staff was extremely supportive and understanding as they walked us through our options. They gave me and my family as much time as we needed in private to say goodbye to our dog. Later, we received a hand written note from the entire staff sending their condolences lamenting our loss. We were later informed that they had made a sizable donation to a rescue group in our family's name. I've never been so touched and impressed by a display of professionalism and kindness from a buisness as I was with Veterinary Speciality Hospital. 5/5 stars.
As an aside, the facility was high tech and beautiful. The rate for services was very reasonable. I will definitely be a customer when I get my new rescue puppy
Our pup Penny had to be put to sleep unexpectedly. My husband and I were out of town when she began experiencing paralysis of her hind end and our pet sitter was referred by our regular vet to VSH where Penny stayed until we could get home. Dr. Stevenson and the rest of the team at VSH were so caring and understanding. They explained everything to us and took my calls every day. The feeling they gave me when calling that we were their only client and that Penny was the only animal they were caring for. I cannot thank the team at VSH enough for their compassion and understanding as we went through what was an incredibly painful time. Deciding to let go of our dog was the hardest decision but having the full support of the team at VSH and knowing all the options and that this was truly the only fair option for Penny eased the pain somewhat. I cannot thank VSH, Dr. Stevenson, and the rest of the team there enough. Your compassion, understanding, and care for our girl and us speaks volumes and we will refer you to anyone and everyone.
